How to Fold a Fitted Sheet

August 14, 2012

I never thought this would be something I would actually do! Fold a fitted sheet?! Like, properly?! Quite a few tutorials for this have been popping up on Pinterest and in magazines lately, so I thought I would give it a try. It wasn't that hard after all!
This is my freshly laundered sheet.
Usually I would have just balled it up somehow and piled it in the closet like this.... but I didn't this time!
First, lay your sheet out on a bed or the floor- a nice flat, clear surface.
Fold it in half, bringing the bottom up to meet the top. Tuck the bottom two corners inside the top two corners.
Then fold it from right to left, tucking so that all four corners are inside eachother. You will have to smooth it out a bit as you go and make sure the folds are all laying nice and flat.
Now take the left side, where the elastic corners are hiding and fold them about 1/3 of the way across the middle lengthwise.
Then fold the right side over the left side.

And fold the bottom up 1/3 of the way.
And lastly, fold the top down and there you have it! A beautifully folded fitted sheet! It works!
