Wedding Wednesday- The Groomsmen Gifts

August 01, 2012

Tom and I put very careful attention and thought into the gifts we would give our wedding party. It was easy for me to pick a million different things I could have given the bridesmaids, but Tom had a little more trouble deciding on the groomsmen.

He wanted it to manly, but personal so we settled on a few items. We looked on many wedding websites that offered engraving on flasks, but in the end settled on these monogrammed ones from Kryan2designs on Etsy. We also had my dad scout out some good cigars (he's a bit of a cigar connoisseur!) and gave the guys each a cigar.

They received blue patterned socks that were all different which I found at Macy's as one of their "accessories".

And lastly, the biggest hit were the blue toques. I had my talented knitter of a cousin, Clare knit 5 identical wooly blue toques for each of the groomsmen and for Tom. We searched high and low for toques that we could buy and nothing was quite right so Clare came to the rescue with her mad knitting skills. The poor girl was knitting right up until the day of the wedding, but alas, she did it and they were a great addition to the photos and for keeping the guys warm!
