Caramel Apple Hand Pies

I came across this recipe on Food Gawker a few weeks ago and finally got around to making them. So easy. So yummy. I took them to a friend's place and everyone raved about them. Trust me. Make these!

The pastry took me about 10 minutes to make. I used my stand mixer. 
This is the caramel part. I ate about 10 of these during the pie making....

Tweedle Tip: These would make great lunch treats. I think they would freeze really well. They are quite small and you don't need utensils to eat them. I am planning to make another batch and pop them in my now-organized freezer for a little mid-week dessert or Friday lunch treat!
