Apple Butter

I thought I had died and went to heaven when I tasted the final product of my apple butter efforts. I had never had it before, but it looked so good in pictures that I had to try it. It is a thicker, smoother, sweeter version of apple sauce. Traditionally, it is served on thick slices of fresh bread, or biscuits. I ate it straight up, by the spoonful and is was to die for!

This is the recipe I used. It was really easy. Basically you peel enough apples to fill your crock pot, add a little water, sugar and cinnamon and let it simmer all day.
