Mr. Tweedle's Japanese Salad Dressing

October 18, 2012

Mr. Tweedle has a great knack for making up "sauces". He just throws a bunch of ingredients in a bowl, does a taste test or two and comes up with the most delicious marinades, sauces and dressings all the time!

His latest concoction is a re-inactment of a dressing I love from our local sushi restaurant. They serve a salad with cucumber and a creamy sesame ginger dressing. It's so tasty and Mr. T has finally figured it out!

Here's the recipe!

1 1/2 TSP toasted sesame oil
1/8 TSP onion powder
1/8 TSP garlic powder
1/4 cup Japanese mayonnaise
dash hot sauce (preferably Siracha)
1 TBSP soy sauce
2 TBSP rice vinegar
pinch of sugar (to taste)

Whisk it all together and serve on the salad of your choice. Add asian inspired veggies like snow peas, carrots, cucumber and avocado if you're into that kinda thing!
